Kooyong

The Kooyong Residence in Melbourne is a masterful blend of heritage restoration and contemporary design. This project involved the meticulous renovation of a grand Victorian dwelling, preserving its historic charm while introducing a modern double-storey addition at the rear. The design concept centers around two distinct pavilions, the original front section and the new extension, connected by a glazed bridge that traverses the central courtyard, creating a dynamic interplay between old and new. The use of Milano Raw Vein Cut Travertine throughout the interiors and exteriors adds a timeless elegance, enhancing the home’s aesthetic appeal and providing a seamless transition between spaces. This thoughtful integration of materials and design elements reflects a commitment to craftsmanship and a deep respect for architectural heritage.
